The elegant and sheer fabric wrapped around the wire frame of the Balloon Pendant 49.5 gives this apple-shaped fixture a luminous glow that is hypnotic. The hand-sewn details that attach the fabric to the frame are achieved by a special technique and a very steady hand. The different shapes in this series, envisioned by Cologne-based designer Meike Harde for Bolia, are perfect for hanging in groupings. The Balloon is available in ivory fabric wrapped around wire in an ivory finish or a light gray fabric wrapped around wire in a light gray finish.
