In May 2015, illustrious Italian furniture brand, Visionnaire Home Philosophy, opened its first-ever mono-brand store in North America at 2063 Biscayne Boulevard in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami. The 2,300 square-foot, window-wrapped showroom space is a visually stunning example of a luxury lifestyle brand brought to life.
Behind the building’s mid-century modern façade, the Visionnaire design team organized the high-ceilinged, natural-light-filled exhibition space into distinct traditional, contemporary, and outdoor environments, with elegant design elements connecting the various settings. The signature collection in the space is one that debuted at Salone del Mobile’s 2014 design fair to critical acclaim. Inspired by Dandyism, a artistic style of the latter part of the 19th century marked by excessive refinement, the furnishings gather in a setting—with metallic jacquard wallcoverings and classical, architectural wall paneling—inspired by Dandyism’s Old World sophistication.
The urbane home brand leans on its core values of luxury, style, and quality, and is known for bespoke furniture solutions. “Tailor-made projects, crafted according to specific needs, have made Visionnaire the ideal partner in projects for private dwellings as well as luxury contract proposals,” they say. The company currently produces more than 3,000 décor items created by a team of international experts, each a design visionary with a particular point of view, to offer cohesive looks for interior design projects, from private homes to public spaces such as hotels, restaurants, and luxury clubs. Covering all areas the home—from living rooms to bedrooms, bathrooms (wellness rooms), kitchens (food rooms), and outdoor areas, the brand’s catalog of designs is a visual feast. Its pages illustrate why Visionnaire prides itself on tailor-made design and its ability to offer unique solutions with great personality.
Creative Director Eleonore Cavalli says that Miami, with its exciting urban developments, is the right place to offer unique, luxury, made-to-measure furnishings. “Floridians have a very good affinity for the made-in-Italy, Visionnaire Home Philosophy, she adds. “We know this is a strong market for the brand, so we are very excited to have a full mono-brand showroom available with a more extensive selection [than our dealers have offered in the past].”
Visionnaire, is a division of the Cavalli family holding company, IPE, founded in 1955. Today, IPE is led by Leopold “Leo” Cavalli, who assumed leadership as Chief Executive Officer in 2000, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. Leo’s vision as CEO was to position the company as a global brand—elevating IPE from a prestigious Italian family company to an international powerhouse owning an important space in the luxury design marketplace. Much of the credit for the brand’s global success and reputation for bespoke luxury is given to Eleonore for development of the company’s ‘total look’ collections and her love of art, eye for detail, and cosmopolitan flair.
Visionnaire is currently resides in more than 50 countries with mono-brand stores in Milan, Bologna, Bari, Baku, Beijing, Chisinau, Ho Chi Minh City, Miami, Moscow, Istanbul, Cairo, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shunde and others to open shortly in Doha, Dubai, and Sidney.
