Berlin, Germany, The Antiques Diva®
Toma Clark Haines is Chief Executive Diva of The Antiques Diva® & Co European Tours. It is no accident she branded herself as “The” Antiques Diva®, and the entrepreneur, speaker and writer has honed and owned every inch of the panache it has brought to her reputation. As an American who has lived abroad for over 14 years, it has been said that Clark Haines is conquering countries faster than Napoleon!
Working with a team of locally-based stylists, The Antiques Diva® & Co has become Europe’s largest antiques sourcing company, offering customized personal shopping for antiques in eight countries and counting. Her accomplished experts have ample experience guiding both tourists (mere shopping mortals) and the trade (antique dealers and interior designers) through a dizzying number of antique warehouses, flea markets, fairs and private boutiques in more countries than can be listed in a brief bio. Clark Haines’s favorite part of her job is stocking clients’ stores across the pond (that means here in America to the non-initiated) and creating new trends in home fashion everywhere.
When this stylemaker is not on a buying expedition, she is penning travel and design articles or touring as an international public speaker, an interior decorator and/or a social media guru. She is a champagne connoisseur, a vintage Chanel addict, and her hobbies include driving fast cars and gourmet cooking. When not traveling extensively for work in one of her company’s tour countries, she divides her time between her home in Berlin, Germany—where she resides with her husband and cat—and posh vacation destinations around the globe—her newest fascination being Asia. Her greatest challenge in life is remembering whether to greet the day with a buongiorno, bonjour, guten tag or simply good day when she wakes up each morning! We at Global Lighting are thrilled the globetrotter agreed to be one of our tastemakers, to which we say grazie mille, merci beaucoup, danke and thank you ever so much, depending on where Clark Haines is when she reads this. Her review of the Opium pendant in our Stratos Collection is definitely in keeping with her flair for the dramatic!
