The design of the Mobil 12 Wall, by Monika Mulder for Pholc, began with this challenge: “Give me a lamp that will look great in a New York loft”! Using metal tubes and a globe of opal glass, Mulder thought of the typical New York balcony railings in black metal and the round streetlights on the Brooklyn Bridge. “Working with these ingredients, the fixture came to life,” she notes. Available in matte black or brushed brass finishes on the metal, this fixture is inspired by a mobile, thus the name.
