Lighting design has always been a significant part of the career of Italian architect Marco Bisenzi, so much so that when he founded his own studio in 2001, he dedicated his work entirely to architectural lighting projects and the design of lighting devices. He set his sights on hotels and has collaborated with a number of leading designers in hospitality, including Giorgio Cerrai, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Simone Micheli, Maurizio Papiri, Marco Piva, Italo Rota and Adam Thyani.

A strength of Marco Bisenzi is LED technology, which will keep him at the forefront of lighting design as the demand for ecological solutions increases. According to B.lux, the Spanish manufacturer that produces many of Bisenzi’s designs, the goal of this visionary is to exploit the aesthetic values of LED in an effort to apply these attributes to decorative lighting. Case in point is the Round, which Global Lighting distributes in North America to a great deal of applause.
